LO2 Record Plan

For my LO3 (take part in or complete the creation of a record in a chosen medium) I will write an extract of a book. It will be set during world war two and will be based on information about life in Britain at the time that I got during an interview that our class has with Mrs. Selwood. I will write it in the style of Robert Graves who was one of the authors that I have been researching. When he wrote books he was very critical so to emulate his style I will focus on the negative side of things.

Conflicts we have been envloved in

Here is a list of some conflicts and a
little bit about them:

World war one (1914-1918) Britain
went in to this war because Germany
, Russia, Austro-Hungary and
Ottoman empire attack some of its
neighbouring countries. The war ended because of a series of
successful allied offences.

World war two (1939-1945) Britain
went into this war because
Germany attacked Poland. The
war ended after Germany attacked
Russia and allied and Russian
armies slowly progressed into
Germany and eventually winning
the war.

Korean War (1950-1953) Britain went
into this war because North Korea
attacked South Korea. The United
Nations, witch we are in, supported
the south and defended them from
the north. The war ended when an
armistice was signed because of a
border stalemate.(neither side was
advancing)

Falkland’s war (April 1982-june 1982) Britain went into this
war because Argentina occupied
the Falk lands island and one of
the only recent wars that Britain
fought without any allies. The
war ended after a British naval
task force was sent and after a
number of operations Britain won.

Gulf war (1990-1991) Britain
went into this war because
Iraqi troops invaded Kuwait
and the UN imposed
international sanctions on
Iraq. Then the US sent a
battalion of troops and urged
other countries to do the same.
The war ended with an aerial
bombardment on 17 January
1991. This was followed by a ground assault on 23 February.

Iraq war (2003-precent) Britain went into this was because
the British and American
government claimed that Iraq
possessed WMD's (weapons
of mass destruction) That
posed a threat to other nations.
The war is still going on today
as troops are still in Iraq to
train the Iraqi security forces.
